LEADER OF “UNITY” FACTION, HAVING THE MAJORITY IN THE ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT, IS TO ELECTED NEXT WEEK

Leader of “Unity” faction, which has the majority of seats in the National Assembly of Armenia is to be elected next week, said member of the political council of the Republican party of Armenia, deputy of the Armenian parliament Gagik Minasian in the interview to Mediamax.
The post of the “Unity” faction leader remained vacant since May 2000, when its head Andranik Margarian was appointed the Prime Minister of Armenia.
According to Mr. Minasian, head of the budget and monetary-credit commission of the National Assembly of Armenia is also to be elected next week. Its former leader Vardan Khachatrian was appointed the Minister for Finance and Economy of Armenia on November 11. -0-
