THE SPEAKER OF THE ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT IS SURPRISED AT “TURKEY’S AGGRESSIVE POSITION TOWARD THE USA”

08.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “We are surprised at Turkey’s aggressive position toward the USA when the Resolution on Armenian Genocide of 1915 was being discussed in the US Congress”, declared the speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Armen Khachatrian in the interview to a “Boston Globe” journalist Miles Pamper. Armen Khachatrian said also that “in Armenia President Clinton’s interference in this process was, mildly speaking, badly perceived”. At the same time, said the speaker, “we understand that each country has its own interests”. -0-
