THE TRIAL OF THE CASE OF THE EX-MAYOR OF STEPANAKERT IS POSTPONED TILL NOVEMBER 22

06.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The trial of the case of the ex mayor of Stepanakert Karen Babayan, the brother of the RNK ex-defense minister Samvel Babayan, planned on November 2, is postponed till November 22.
As the chairman of the Stepanakert municipal court Nairi Hakopian informed Mediamax, the 20-day break is announced due to the fact that the state prosecutor Loretta Barseghian needs some additional time to get acquainted with the case materials.
The ex mayor of the Karabakh capital is charged with abuse of official post, official forgery, persistent evading of tax payments and illegal keeping of weapons and ammunition. -0-
