03.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The situation around the state budget for 2001 FY is really complicated and affects the social and economic situation in the state, the Armenian President Robert Kocharian said in an interview to the National TV.
According to the President Kocharian there are two main reasons: the first is that the four months of the current year “were lost for the Armenian economy” because of unstable economic situation. The President stressed that the Armenian government which started its activity in May has got many burdens and it is not real to demand from the government the implementation of all plans within 8 months. The second reason according to Kocharian is that “today the government does not display the necessary political will regarding tax collection.” The Armenian President said that nobody in Armenia should or will work out of tax field. –0–
