STEVEN SESTANOVICH DOESN’T THINK ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN HAVE COME TO AGREEMENT ON THE PLAN OF TERRITORIAL SWAP

01.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “I am familiar with the public discussions regarding the question of territorial swap, and I don’t think that the sides have come to an agreement in this matter”, stated today in Yerevan the Counselor to the US Secretary of State for Newly Independent States Steven Sestanovich following the negotiations with the President of Armenia Robert Kocharian.
Sestanovich didn’t answer the question whether the plan of territorial swap was ever been in the agenda of the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group. At the same time, the American diplomat noted that in his opinion the discussion of all the variants of the settlement are very important to achieve a final solution to this problem. -0-
