BILL ON STATE BUDGET FOR 2001 INHERITED DEBTS FOR PREVIOUS YEARS, DEPUTY FINANCE AND ECONOMY MINISTER OF FINANCE SAID

01.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “The fact that the bill for 2001 state budget inherited the domestic debts of the government for previous years at 61 bln drams that is 20.6% of expenditure part of the 2001FY budget is the feature of the state budget, Pavel Safarian, the deputy Finance and Economy Minister of Armenia informed in interview to Mediamax.
On October 31 the Armenian government approved at its special session the bill on the state budget for 2001, that will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration.
According to Safarian, the budget revenue will stand at 205.9 bln drams, while the expenditure – 297.5 bln drams. The deficit is planned to be covered due to foreign credits and sources gained from privatization.
Mr. Safarian underlined that the main guarantees for execution of the state budget are the results of negotiations with the international financial organizations as well as reforms in tax system. -0–
