THE TRIAL OF KARABAKH’S EX DEFENSE MINISTER IS POSTPONED FOR ANOTHER TIME

30.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The trial of the assassination attempt on RNK president, which was to be resumed today, on October 30, is postponed for November 2.
As the correspondent of Mediamax reports from Stepanakert, the decision of the court is caused by the request by advocates of Sasun Aghajanian and Levon Mirzoyan who were accused of being executors of the terrorist act, to give them time to familiarize themselves with the files of the case.
The criminal proceeding on Suren Alexanian was suspended as of the necessity to carry out his physical medical check-up, which confirmed the physical ability of the accused to participate in the trial.
The trial of the case of the March 22 terrorist act against RNK president Arkady Ghukasian began on September 18 in Stepanakert. The main accused of the case is RNK ex defense minister, Lieutenant-General Samvel Babayan. -0–
