SPEAKER OF THE RNK PARLIAMENT LEFT FOR THE USA TO PREPARE A TV MARATHON TO COLLECT MEANS FOR NAGORNO-KARABAKH

25.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The speaker of the National Assembly of RNK Oleg Yesayan left for the USA to prepare a TV marathon to collect means for the construction of “North-South” highway in Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is of strategic importance.
As the correspondent of Mediamax reports from Stepanakert, the second TV marathon for collecting means for the construction of “North-South” highway will be organized by All-Armenian “Hayastan” fund on November 23 in Los-Angeles. Part of the donations is to be allotted for the restoration of Spitak earthquake zone in Armenia.
The organizers of the action hope to collect about 3.5 U.S. million dollars. The construction of the 169 km long highway is estimated 25 million U.S. dollars. –0–
