SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT IN ARMENIA WILL FAVOR THE SOLUTION OF THE REFUGEES’ PROBLEMS, THINK REPRESENTATIVES OF INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION ORGANIZATION

23.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Director of the International Migration Organization (IMO) Branson McKinley presented today to the Catholicos of All Armenians IMO programs, aimed at solution of the refugees problems by developing the small business in Armenia, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press center of St. Echmiadzin.
It was noted during the meeting that about 400 thousand refugees reside in Armenia today, the majority of them live in the frontier regions and the disaster zone, damaged from the earthquake of 1988. The interlocutors also stressed the necessity to solve the problems of illegal migration.
In his turn Garegin II introduced the social programs to be realized by Echmiadzin in all the regions of Armenia. -0-
