FOREIGN MINISTER OF ARMENIA AND DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION ORGANIZATION DISCUSSED POSSSIBILITIES OF DECREASING THE EMIGRATION FROM ARMENIA

23.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vardan Oskanian received the general Director of the International Migration Organization (IMO) Branson McKinley, who is in Yerevan on a working visit, was reported to Mediamax in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia.
They noted at the meeting that there are good perspectives for Armenia and IMO to realize join projects. In particular, the interlocutors discussed joint programs possibilities, aimed at decrease of emigration level from Armenia by creating new working places. The Foreign Minister of Armenia presented the details of the present stage of the peace settlement of the Karabakh conflict. In his turn, Mr. McKinley expressed readiness to assist the settlement of the conflict, in particular, in solving the refugees’ problems. -0-
