REJOINING OF UNITY BLOC HAS CHANGED THE LOGICS OF POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS IN ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT

20.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Dashnaktsoutyun party participated in the processes of possible re-grouping in the Armenian parliament in light of direct or indirect statements by the Republican and People’s parties about the collapse of the Unity bloc. In this regard, in the terms of new political realities, there is a necessity to reconsider relations between the parliament and the government. Armen Rustamian, the representative of the Supreme Body of Dashnaktsoutyun party, deputy of the Armenian parliament stated about it during the interview to Mediamax.
However, today, when the Republican and People’s party announce about rejoining of the Unity bloc there are no political motives which could cause new processes in the Armenian parliament, he said.
Touching upon the attempts of formation of a new parliamentary majority including six parliamentary blocs parliamentarian Rustamian said that actually there were intentions to cooperate with the government of the state for finding a way out of this hard social and economic situation. “But that were just intentions and nothing else,” Rustamian added.
According to the parliamentarian development of events caused from “rehabilitation” of the Unity bloc has changed the logic of political developments in Armenia, therefore the representatives of the bloc have to look for the solution of existing problems by themselves. –0–
