19.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The package of legislative initiations of Karabakh’s Government regarding the tax reforms were discussed at the session of the National Assembly of Karabakh.
The Mediamax correspondent informs from Karabakh that under the initiative of the Union of Democratic Artsakh parliamentary faction as well as after the consultations in the Government it was decided to remove the bill on income tax from the agenda and send it to the government for elaboration. At the same time the parliamentarians approved changes and amendments to laws on profit tax, land tax and excise tax.
The deputies of the National Assembly of Karabakh refused to adopt changes to the low on Value Added Tax and have sent it back to the government for further elaboration.
Karabakh’s government suggested to decrease starting from January 1 the rate of income tax down to 5% and do not impose taxes on the salary up to 10,000 drams. The government also proposed to free from Value Added Tax the businessmen using local raw materials for production. –0–
