The number of complaints obtained by the Armenian financial ombudsman’s office in January-August 2011 totaled 525, with 80 written complaints addressed, the country’s financial ombudsman said.
“68% of the complaints were settled in favor of claimants; as a result, the damage repair comprised AMD 29mln,” Piruz Sargsyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
Out of 80 claims addressed, 18 refer to credit deals, 4 to deposits, 18 to banking accounts and plastic cards, 6 to money transfers, 15 to mandatory vehicle insurance, 19 to crediting organisations' services.
Armenian financial ombudsman’s office has been operating in Armenia since January 24, 2009 in accordance with relevant legislation.
