MOTHER OF ASSASSINATED IN 1999 ARMENIAN PRIME MINISTER “HOPES FOR MIRACLE

Greta Sarkissian, mother of Vazgen Sarkissian, the Armenian Prime Minister assassinated during the October 27 act of terrorism in the Armenian parliament, hopes for miracle. “I do not think that during the trial schizophrenic-murdered Nairi Hunanian will say the truth,” she said in her interview to “Haykakan Jamanak” Armenian daily.
Mrs Sarkissian also said that the family of the killed Prime Minister has not invited yet to Armenia a Russian advocate who is to appear at the trial as an expert.
It is expected that the documents on the case of act of terrorism will be handed to the Court in the near future. On October 27 of 1999, the group of terrorists headed by Nairi Hunanian killed in the Armenian parliament the Prime Minister Vazgen Sarkissian, the Speaker of the parliament Karen Demirchian and 7 deputies and members of government. –0–
