ARMEN KHACHATRIAN MAY GO ON HOLDING POST OF SPEAKER OF ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT

10.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armen Khachatrian may continue taking the post of the Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, MEDIAMAX was informed about it from reliable source from parliamentary administration.
According to a source, it is likely that the Constitutional Court will make a verdict saying that the decision on resignation of the Speaker Khachatrian was made with some violations of the procedure, and that the result of voting are not valid.
A source also informed that the decision on keeping Khachatrian on the post was made at October 9 meeting of the President with the leaders of seven parliamentary factions and blocs. –0–
