THE PRESIDENT OF ARMENIA LEAVES FOR BISHKEK TOMORROW TO TAKE PART IN THE SUMMIT OF LEADERS OF CIS COLLECTIVE SECURITY AGREEMENT STATES

09.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The president of Armenia Robert Kocharian leaves tomorrow, October 10, for Bishkek to participate in the summit of leaders of the CIS states entering the Collective Security Agreement.
As was reported in the press office of the president of the country, questions connected with developing the military-political cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Agreement (CSA) in CIS will be the highlights of the summit. It is also expected that the leaders of the CSA states will speak with a joint statement about the situation in Central Asia.
Armenian Defense Minister, the Security Council Secretary at the President of Armenia, Serzh Sarkisian, and deputy foreign minister Tatul Margarian will be among the members of the Armenian delegation.
The next session of the CIS Collective Security Council will be held in May 2001 in Yerevan. -0-
