ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT IS LIKELY TO START ITS REGULAR SESSION TODAY

09.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today, the Armenian National Assembly will start its regular session. MEDIAMAX was informed from sources from parliament that it is likely that today 6 factions and deputy groups will return to a normal activity after last week boycott of the parliamentary session caused by Armen Khachatrian’s refusal to accept decision on his resignation.
The final decision on accepting or refusing the resignation of the speaker Khachatrian must be made by the Constitutional Court of Armenia. On October 2 the Armenian President Robert Kocharian has sent a proper appeal to the Constitution Court of Armenia. –0–
