Erebuni Museum to exhibit Ostun medieval village artefacts

On September 17 through November 17, Erebuni Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve will feature an exhibit titled Ostun: Archaeological Discoveries of Independence Years. The event is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence.

The collection of 235 artefacts features household items, work tools, ornaments dating back to 12-19 centuries, discovered in 2005-2006 archaeological excavations.

Archaeologists believe the items would have been owned by people living in the medieval village of Ostun.

Upon completion of the exhibit, the artefacts will be transferred to Geological Museum of Yeghegnadzor.
