TODAY’S COURT SESSION IS POSTPONED DUE TO BAD HEALTH CONDITION OF S.BABAYAN’S LAWYER

07.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today’s court session of the trial of the case of the terrorist act against RNK President was postponed to Monday, October 9, due to bad health condition of Samvel Babayan’s lawyer, Zhudeks Shakarian.
As the correspondent of MEDIAMAX reports from Stepanakert, Judge Suren Alexanian said that on Saturday Zhudeks Shakarian complained of heart pain and high pressure and asked the judge to announce a break and to postpone the session.
Testimony of the Armenian politician Ashot Manucharian will be heard at the trial on Monday. According to S.Alexanian, lawyer Zhudeks Shakarian and accused Samvel Babayan insisted on inviting him as a witness. Accused Vardan Tashchian, Lebanon citizen, charged with misprision of felony, also joined them in this request.
The trial of the case of the March 22 terrorist act against RNK president Arkady Ghukasian started on September 18 in Stepanakert. The main accused of the case is RNK ex defense minister, Lieutenant-General Samvel Babayan. -0-
