06.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The recent events in the Armenian parliament were discussed and evaluated at the regular sitting of the Human Rights Commission attached to the Armenian President, Paruyr Hayrikian, the Chairman of the Commission said in an interview to MEDIAMAX.
According to Hayrikian the Commission voiced concern over the fact that some major factions of the parliament boycott the activity of the legislative body of the state and called upon the parliamentarians to start executing their duties.
“It is unacceptable to deprive the voters of their rights to take part in the process of governing of the state that is possible thanks to the activity of the National Assembly of Armenia,” Paruyr Hayrikian said. –0–
