04.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The official visit of Robert Kocharian to Moscow on September 25-27 became a great milestone in the Armenian-Russian relations and helped multilateral consolidation of allied relations between the two countries.
As was reported to MEDIAMAX in the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, this is the official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
“The signing of the “Declaration on allied relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia in the 21st century became the main political result of the visit”.
“This document is a graphic evidence of the new quality of the bilateral relations, which are aimed to future. The visit contributed greatly to the development of bilateral relations, strengthening relations between Russia and Armenia on the international scene. Much attention is paid to strengthening political and military contacts, and it should be noted that the cooperation in military-political sphere is directed to providing the security of Armenia and Russia and is not directed against any other country”, reads the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. -0-
