Among numerous directions of its activity, the State Committee for the celebration of the 1700th anniversary of adopting Christianity in Armenia plans to improve the roads and territories near churches and historical monuments of the country, said in the interview to MEDIAMAX the Chief of the Department for Historical and Cultural monuments protection Gagik Gyurjian.
Mr. Gyurjian said that they have already worked out a program to draw investors, who will be given tax privileges and the necessary assistance to get credits.
They plan to work in 7 main tourist routes of Armenia, where the most important cultural-historical monuments of the country are situated. Gyurjian said that lease agreements will be signed in accordance with the form of property of the monuments, ( state, church, private).
Mr. Gyurjian also stressed that besides Armenian businessmen, foreign investors and businessmen from Armenian Diaspora can also take part in the program.-0-
