Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with a delegation led by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief for Armenia Mark Horton.
The meeting focused on key directions in Armenia’s economic policy and development perspectives.
Mr. Horton briefed Mr. Sargsyan on the course of Extended Fund Facility and Extended Credit Facility IMF programs in Armenia, as well as the results of the IMF Mission visit. In this context, the Fund official noted significant decrease of inflation in Armenia, also giving positive assessment to RA State Revenue Committee and Finance Ministry’s package of reforms for 2012.
In conclusion, Mr. Horton expressed readiness to continue assistance to state programs, governmental press service reported.
