SPECIAL GOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION TO LIQUIDATE DROUGHT CONSEQUENCES IS SET UP IN ARMENIA

19.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. In order to coordinate measures for liquidating the consequences of the continuous drought, by the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian a special governmental commission headed by the minister for coordination of industrial infrastructures, David Zadoyan, has been set up, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the Armenian government.
The commission is charged to negotiate with international organizations and foreign countries and find out within a month the possible forms and amounts of assistance. The commission will also present to the Armenian Premier a program of measures for liquidating drought consequences, the schedule of the works to be realized and possible financial sources.
These orders have been given to the ministries of Agriculture, Finance and Economy, and Foreign Affairs. -0-
