ORGANIZATIONAL WORKS FOR CELEBRATING IN 2001 THE 1700TH ANNIVERSARY OF ADOPTION OF CHRISTIANITY AS STATE RELIGION IN ARMENIA ARE IN THEIR FINAL STAGE

Organizational works for celebrating next year the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity as national religion in Armenia are in their final stage, said the chairman of the governmental commission for celebration festivities, Khosrov Harutyunian, at the meeting with the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II. This was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of St. Echmiadzin.
The celebrations will begin on the night of January 1, 2001, and will proceed throughout the whole year of 2001 according to the program, approved both by the Church and the government. -0-
