MOST LIKELY, PRESS WILL HAVE NO ACCESS TO THE TRIAL OF THE EX-MINISTER OF DEFENSE OF RNK SAMVEL BABAYAN

There will be no press accreditation at the trial of the accused of the terrorist act against RNK president, declared in the interview to MEDIAMAX RNK Supreme Court judge Suren Alexanian, the chairman of the upcoming trial of the accused of the attempt upon the life of RNK president, to be held on September 18 in Stepanakert. Ex-minister of defense of RNK Samvel Babayan is charged with the organization of the terrorist act.
However, Alexanian noted, the question of press in the court room will be determined during the first court session.
Suren Alexanian also informed that this case belongs to severest state crimes, and expressed the opinion that the trial will apparently take much time, taking into account its complication. He said that “mass media are making too much fuss about the process”, which creates additional difficulties for the work of the judges. -0-
