THE REGULAR MEETING OF ARMENIAN AND AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENTS TOOK PLACE IN NEW YORK

08.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The regular meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents was held in New York on September 7, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press office of the president of Armenia.
After the meeting Robert Kocharian and Heydar Aliyev asserted their readiness to regulate the Karabakh issue exclusively in a peaceful way and through mutual compromises, noting the importance and usefulness of their dialogue.
President Kocharian stressed that though it is hard to note any concrete results of this dialogue at this stage, the meetings are of great importance and “demand patience as such conflicts don’t have easy settlements”. -0-
