07.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Military Committee, NATO’s highest military authority, will hold meetings in Greece and Turkey during September.
On September 11 the members of the Military Committee will be received in Athens by the Chief of Defense of Greece, General Manousos Paragioudakis, and on September 15 in Istanbul- by the Chief of Defense of Turkey, General Huseyin Kivrikoglu, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press office of NATO. The situation in the Balkans will be discussed at the meeting. The Chief of Defense of Greece and his Turkish counterpart will also inform the chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, Admiral Guido Venturoni, about the current situation and future development of the Greek and Turkish Armed Forces. -0-
