02.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenian law-enforcement bodies elucidate the causes of Norayr Yeghiazaryan’s death, who was one of the accused of the terrorist act in the Armenian Parliament last year, in which the premier, speaker of the National Assembly, 6 MPs and government officials were killed.
2 versions of Yeghiazaryan’s death are being studied, informed the journalists the head of Nubarashen prison, Rafik Hovanesian. The first version says Norayr Yeghiazaryan died of “electrocution”, and the second one – from a heart attack. A common examination cannot give an accurate answer to this question, asserts Hovanesian. To find out the true cause of Yeghiazaryan’s death chemical examinations should be done, which will take a week. Rafik Hovanesian himself tends to the version that Yeghiazaryan died of a heart attack.
Norayr Yeghiazaryan died on August 29. According to investigation data, he was the one who sold weapons to the terrorist group led by Nairi Hunanian. -0-
