ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER AND AMERICAN CO-CHAIRMAN OF OSCE MINSK GROUP WILL TAKE PART IN THE CONFERENCE “PROSPECTS OF COOPERATION AND STABILITY IN SOUTH CAUCASIAN REGION”

02.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian and Carey Cavanaugh, Chief Negotiator for NIS Regional Conflicts, US State Department, will take part in the international conference on conflict settlement and prevention, to be held in Halki, Greece on September 6-13.
A discussion on “Prospects of Cooperation and Stability in the South Caucasian Region” subject will take place on September 10 within the framework of the conference, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the conference organizing committee. Besides Vardan Oskanian and Carey Cavanaugh, among other speakers will be Dr. Ghia Nodia, Chairman of the Board, Caucasian Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development, Tbilisi/Georgia, and Dr. Elkhan Nuriyev, Senior Research Fellow, Peace Research and Conflict Resolution Institute, Bonn/Germany.-0-
