Programs, which are realized by “Linsy” fund in Armenia, as well as questions of further assistance on the restoration of country’s economy became the main highlights of today’s meeting of Prime Minister Andranik Margarian with Harut Sasunian, the head of the United Armenian Fund of the USA and vice-president of “Linsy” fund, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the Government of Armenia.
“Linsy” fund is patronized by the well-known American multimillionaire Kirk Kirkorian. The credit program, directed to the restoration of the disaster zone, damaged from Spitak earthquake of 1988, is the largest among the programs that the fund realizes at present in Armenia.
As a source in the staff of the president reported to MEDIAMAX, plans on starting new “Linsy” programs in Armenia are most likely to be discussed during Sasunian’s visit. The agreement on these programs was achieved in the course of the meeting of Armenian President Robert Kocharian and Kirk Kirkorian, which took place this June during the working visit of the Armenian leader to the United States. -0-
