THE GREATEST RISE OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION AMONG THE CIS STATES HAS BEEN FIXED IN ARMENIA IN MAY

03.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. According to the information of the Intergovernmental Statistics Committee of CIS, a rise in the industrial production during the period of January-May has been observed in ten CIS countries, if compared to the same period in 1999.
The production in Armenia has risen for 3.1 %, for 5.4 % in Uzbekistan, for 8.2 % in Tajikistan, for 4.6 % in Azerbaijan, for 5.1 % in Belarus, for 11.4 % in Georgia, for 17.1 % in Kazakhstan, for 3.9 % in Moldavia, for 10.8 % in Ukraine, for 10.4 % in Russia.
The highest industrial production index in May was fixed in Armenia – 11.3 %.
