In this connection, notes the Department, the following information could be of some interest. In the note, addressed to the ministry of foreign affairs of Georgia, the Russian side expresses anxiety about Tbilisi’s dragging out the consideration of the projects of bilateral contractual-legal acts on these questions, which were directed to the Georgian side back in February 2000, and once again suggests accelerating the reply. It is stressed in the press report that at the same time the ministry of foreign affairs of Russia notified the Georgian side about starting intergovernmental procedures on introducing visa regime. -0-
