INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON “INTERNET AND SOCIETY” THEME HAS BEGUN ITS WORK IN YEREVAN

27.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The international seminar on “Internet and society” theme has started its work today in Yerevan.
This is the first time such conference is being organized in Armenia. About 30 specialists from Europe, the USA, Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of the Armenian Diaspora will take part in the work of the seminar.
“It is impossible to imagine a progress in the field of information-communication technology not having a proper developed policy. The main task of the seminar was the question of common strategic principles in the sphere of information-communication technology”, is said in the press release of the seminar.
During two weeks the following topics will be discussed at the seminar: donor programs, questions of public Internet, reforms in the state management system, mutual understanding of traditional mass media and Internet, questions of the Internet market, electronic trade. -0-
