A COMMITTEE FOR GIVING THE STATUS OF A PARTICIPANT OF WAR OPERATIONS IS SET UP IN RNK

12.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. By the order of the Government of RNK a republican committee has been set up in Stepanakert for giving the status of a participant of war actions for the defense of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh.
The correspondent of MEDIAMAX reports that at present the committee is gathering information about the people who have taken part in the battles in self-defense detachments before the formation of RNK army. It specifies the names of the people who have participated in war operations in the staff of the regular army, and the lists of the killed as well.
After getting the status of the participant of war actions beginning January 1, 2001, the military and the citizens will enjoy the privileges set by the government of the republic. In accordance with the Law “About social security of the military and their families”, the rate of the pension of the military, having the status of one day of military service, will be equated with the regular three-day pension . -0-
