Armenian company suggests to avoid freight through Iranian ports

RailVneshtrans Armenian company suggests refraining from cargo transportation through Iranian ports, amid news sanctions the U.S. plans to impose against Iran, North Korea and Syria.

The bill approved by the House of Representatives this week reads: "the owner, charterer, operator or captain of a vessel must confirm that, within 180 days prior to arrival at U.S. ports, it has not enter the ports of Iran, North Korea or Syria."

Should the ship-owners hide any information, the ship will be refused entry into U.S. ports for two years.

Before the bill comes into force, it must stand a discussion in the Senate and get the signature of the President.
