Teheran welcomes the overthrow of the regime of Saddam Hussein, however considering the ways of achieving the goal illegal. As reported by Iranian media, foreign minister of Iran Kamal Kharrazi said at a meeting with British foreign office Mike O’Brien being in Teheran on a visit. Having expressed uneasiness concerning the chaos created in Iraq, Kharrazi called the future transformations in Iraq “a hard cause” and emphasized the need for the soonest possible “introduction of government” in the country. At the same time he expressed hope for the coming Iraqi authorities to respect good neighborhood principles and the available agreements with neighboring countries. Kharrazi stressed the need for UN to get actively involved in Iraq, which is “a common desire of the international community.”
