0,9% inflationrate was recorded in Armenia's consumer market in February 2012 compared to January 2011.
Prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) increased by 1,6%, while prices for non-foods decreased by 0,2%.
Tariffs for services remained unchanged during the reported period.
In February 2012, 3%increase in consumer prices was observed compared to the same period in 2011.
The price upsurge is basically conditioned by 3,3% and 3,7%. growth in prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) and non-foods respectively. 2,1%.increase was also observed in tariffs for services during the reporting period.
Consumer prices decreased by 1,2-0,2% in February 2012 compared to January in all Armenian cities under study, while the highest index was registered in town of Talin in Armenia’s Aragatsotn province.
1% drop was recorded in consumer prices in Yerevan.
