U.S. WNWI online radio station said it’s hard to believe the Eurovision International Song Contest without politics.
“This contest cannot do without politics. One can’t but see it; on the eve of this “song” contest everybody recalls human rights, animal rights, democracy staff, etc.,” the radio report said.
The radio also mentioned that over the past 10 years, Ukraine’s victory at Eurovision coincided with Orange Revolution, while Serbia’s victory was accompanied by Kosovo’s secession.
“Eurovision is sort of a game which can alter the geopolitical situation in the world and cause serious crisis in international relations. One can only imagine what political stir Eurovision may cause this year. Eurovision without politics is hard to believe,” the radio said.
