Armenia became the first country to sign a framework agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on implementation of Country Priority Program for 2012-2015.
As the Armenian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Armen Poghosyan informed the journalists on March 6, the document was signed within the framework of FAO informal meeting on January 26-27, 2012 in Budapest.
“FAO positively assesses its cooperation with Armenia; as a result, this document was signed,” deputy minister said.
He also informed that Armenia currently implements a number of long-term projects, as well as some research programs with FAO.
