The political parties, including the radical opposition Armenian National Congress did not either register or disclose their proportional lists on March 12, the first day for nomination of candidates for the parliamentary elections.
However, the electoral list of ANC seems to be ready, Hraparak paper reports.
As ANC announced during its recent rally, ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian was to make up the list. The paper managed to learn the first six names included on the list. The top three include Levon Ter-Petrossian, Armenia’s People's Party leader Stepan Demirchyan and Republic party’s head Aram Sargsyan.
Armenian National Movement leader Aram Manukyan will perhaps be nominated the 4th, and ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan will take the 5th place of the list. The first lady of the list, as expected, will be Lyudmila Sargsyan, head of Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP).
According to the paper, editor of Haykakan Zhamanak daily Nikol Pashinyan is included in the top 8 of the list. Hrant Bagratyan will perhaps be the next nominee.
There is some controversy over Gagik Jhangiryan’s and David Shahnazaryan’s names, neither of them being a party leader. However, Ter-Petrossian wants to include them in top ten of ANC electoral list. This situation will become clear soon.
