Orinats Yerkir party bribes voters with candies and jam, paper says

Orinats Yerkir party distributed jam, chocolate candies and coffee in Yerevan on March 8, the International Women’s Day. As to provinces, in particular, Myasnikyan, Karakert and Mayisyan villages of Armavir province, people here received pumpkin jam and chocolate bars, Yerkir paper reports.

Young party members who distributed the sweets, first informed that they represent Orinats Yerkir, then wished everybody to have good elections and left. According to the data the paper got from Armavir, local women were discontented with the fact that they were deprived of the coffee that Yerevan citizens got.

The paper’s reporter asked sociologist Aharon Adibekyan how the jam will affect the voters. “Orinats Yerkir is distributing what it has, actually the jam,” Adibekyan said.
