Roman Andreev from Russia completed one problem correctly in 1 hr 4 min and won Facebook’s Hacker Cup to get his name placed on an awesome and really heavy cement trophy along with a check for $5000, The Next Web reports.
The participants were given three problems of varying difficulty to solve in three hours and will be judged on speed and accuracy.
Tomek Czajka from the U.S. completed one problem correctly in 1 hr 5 min to take the 2nd place. Tiancheng Lou from China, who completed one problem correctly in 1 hr 44 min, finished 3rd.
Facebook plans on holding this competition every year around this time.
