Armenia hosts freight damage claims meeting

On November 5, the participants of the Tsaghkadzor-hosted claim meeting to review contentious cases for cargo damages started their work. Representatives from the railway administrations of the CIS, Baltic countries and Georgia are among the participants of the meeting, with 80 delegates to participate.

The meeting will consider claims for compensation for damaged freight that cause disputes between the railways of the aforementioned countries. At the end of the meeting the Board of Arbitrators will take decisions unconditionally executable by railway administrations.

Since 1997 the claim meetings of representatives from railway administrations of the CIS, Baltic countries and Georgia have been held twice a year.

South Caucasus Railway (SCR) CJSC first held the claim meeting in 2010, the company’s press service reported.
