President Serzh Sargsyan has addressed his congratulatory message to U.S. President Barack Obama on the occasion of receiving 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

In his address, RA President highly assessed United States’ efforts towards establishing trust, stability, security and cooperation on global level. “You have undertaken several key initiatives, particularly towards settling long-lasting conflicts and establishing political dialogue with various forces,” Mr. Sargsyan says in his address. RA President also mentioned that all existing dissidences and conflicts can and must be resolved through a dialogue.

“We also appreciate United States’ constructive activity in the settlement of Karabakh conflict as OSCE MG co-chairing state,” Mr. Sargsyan stressed, expressing gratitude to U.S. Administration, particularly Secretary of State Clinton for assisting in Armenian-Turkish rapprochement,

“I am convinced that without United States’ positive support, it would be impossible to make effective efforts in that direction,” RA President’s press service quotes Mr. Sargsyan as saying.
