Eastern Partnership initiative will help Armenia to recover their democratic traditions, according to Hans Gunnar Aden, Swedish Ambassador to South Caucasus.
“Eastern Partnership initiative will only have positive impact on Armenian society which still suffers from Soviet mentality,” Swedish diplomat noted.
“Yerevan recently hosted the first Armenia-EU dialogue on human rights. We voiced our expectations in the sphere of ensuring human freedoms, independence of media and judiciary, as well as focused on March 2008 developments which resulted in 10 deaths. We anticipate Armenia’s response within 1.5 year,” Ambassador said.
