"The purpose of the agreement “On basic principles of secret control system of CSTO forces and means” is to provide secret control of means and forces of CSTO," Ara Nazaryan , RA Deputy Defense Minister said at RA National Assembly on 22 February.
Answering the question of Stepan Safaryan, head of the Heritage parliamentary group whether the agreement contradicts Armenia's cooperation with NATO within IPAP (Individual Partnership Action), Nazaryan said Armenia's cooperation within CSTO RRF does not contradict to that of in the frames of NATO.
According to Armen Rustamyan, head of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, this agreement creates three contingents (Eastern European, Caucasian and Central Asian) to ensure the security of CSTO member states.
