Association Agreement between Armenia and the European Union envisages relaxation of visa regime.
As Gunnar Wiegand, European Commission’s Director for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia, stated during a press conference in Yerevan, agreements on visa regime relaxation and readmission between Armenia and the EU may be signed prior to conclusion of Association Agreement.
For her part, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Kazinian noted that progress in talks on visa regime relaxation is expected till yearend.
