If Russia recognized Karabakh’s independence, extension of Russian base deployment terms in Armenia would be understandable, an Armenian politician said.
“The situation is unclear. Unfortunately, Armenia’s sovereignty doesn’t strengthen with time,” Stepan Safaryan, head of Heritage parliamentary group, told reporters on August 24.
He also noted that selling S-300 to Azerbaijan, Russia will oust Armenia from CSTO.
“Yerevan should reconsider not only its membership in the CSTO but also relations with the allied countries,” Safaryan said.
