Member of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Naira Zohrabyan, said she is going to discuss Baku’s demarches and the statement issued by the Poland’s embassy in Azerbaijan with the Polish delegation to PACE and members of Polish Sejm.
She also informed that CoE Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg will arrive in Armenia on January 18 instead of PACE co-rapporteurs on Armenia.
“The co-rapporteurs will visit Armenia after the PACE winter session,” she said.
Zohrabyan emphasized that replacement of Goran Lindblad was a positive move. “An individual, who served on the Swedish-Turkish parliamentary friendship group and who has certain interest in Azerbaijani projects, should not be a co-rapporteur on Armenia.”
